Chiropractic care for necks, shoulders and everything the desk does to them
Maisha is a chiropractor at TT Chiropractic & Remedial Massage. She holds a Bachelor of Medical Science from UNSW and a Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University.
Her clinical interest is the neck and shoulders. Which, if you sit at a desk in Surry Hills, is probably why you are on this page.
Most of the necks she sees were never injured. They have just been held in one position for eight hours a day, for years, and the body has quietly adapted around it. Her job is to work out what is actually driving it, then explain it to you in plain English.
Background and approach
Maisha started in medical science at UNSW, then moved into chiropractic at Macquarie. The science side never left her. She wants to know why something is happening before she decides what to do about it, which is why her first appointment is assessment, history and treatment, not a quick adjustment and out the door.
She trains regularly herself, so the sit all day, then lift-heavy cycle is not theory to her. She knows what it feels like to have a session go badly because something upstream was tight.
At TT she works alongside our chiropractic and remedial massage team. If your care would be better supported by soft tissue work, dry needling or assisted stretching, it is all in the same building.
What Maisha works with

Neck and Shoulder Tension
Her main clinical interest. Assessment and care for stiff, tight and restricted necks and shoulders.

Desk Posture Support
For the people who sit 6 to 8 hours a day and feel it by mid-afternoon.

Movement and Mobility
Assessment of how you actually move and where you are restricted.

Strength and Training Support
Care that fits around your training, rather than asking you to stop.
How Maisha works
A proper assessment first
Your history, your posture and how you actually move, before anything else happens.
Hands-on care
Diversified, drop table, activator and specific soft tissue work, chosen to suit you.
A plan that is yours
Built around your goals and your week, not a standard sequence.
Explained in plain English
You leave understanding what is going on in your own body. That is the point.
Maisha may be a good fit if you are dealing with

Neck stiffness and tension
Especially the kind that turns up in the afternoon and you have stopped noticing
Shoulder and upper back tightness
From long hours at a laptop or on calls
Aches that flare with training
The niggle that only shows up under load
Headaches linked to neck tension
